The weekly market "La Recova" in Arrecife can be found in the courtyard of the town hall "Ayuntamiento de Arrecife". The entrances to the oldest market square of the island are from Calle Manuel Miranda, Calle Liebre and during the opening hours of the Town Hall through its entrance on Avenida de Vargas. Above the two side entrances there is a sign saying "La Recova".
You will find a rich selection of fruits and vegetables, tropical and legumes, nuts, wines, cheeses and sausages, bread and pastries from the bakery and handicrafts.

César Manrique created this architectural work of art in the 70s, it shows the original charm of a Canarian village.
The market square with the adjoining typical houses, no higher than two floors, in the island colors white, green and the blue of the sky reminds of an old "fishing village" with small streets, courtyards and residential buildings as in Teguise and Haría.
The evening market consists of several smaller stalls and on Wednesday offers plenty of crafts from the island and invites you to stroll and linger. On Friday, the offer is more influenced by tourist souvenirs.

The Sunday market in Villa Teguise is the largest on the island and is one of Lanzarote's highlights.
